Whose idea was this new Sikh calendar? Do they have a email address
or a
snail-mail address?
Do they accept suggestions? Was the membership ever consulted? Did
anyone object?
Would Sikhs prefer to have their calendar aligned with the four
seasons?
This new calendar is offset from the Gregorian by two weeks. If it
was
offset by three weeks (or minus 2 weeks), it would be properly aligned
by
the solar seasons. Can this be changed?
Would not this seasonal alignment be preferable to yet another
misaligned
sectarian calendar? Don’t we want to appear to the world to be
sensible and
intelligent and maybe a bit superior??

These decisions are mainly made at the Akal Takht Sahib
or by the board of the SGPC (Shromani Gurudawar Parbhandak Commitee)

If you send a letter to the
SGPC
Golden Temple
Amritsar (code)
Punjab India

It would get to the right place but may or may not have the impact.
A better place might be the
Chief Khalsa Diwan

this is an intelligent organisation that looks to uphold the progressive
spirit of Sikhism.
They are based all over India.
