So we heard on CBS News last night, from some
academic, that prosecution of the Blackwater
thugs is unlikely, given how the FBI waited two
weeks to sequester evidence -- not a standard
applied in Cold Case TV shows, but hey, this is
reality. Never mind the Iraqis did an investigation,
as did CBS, there were plenty of eye witnesses
etc. etc.
The back story is the State Department is chock-
a-block with whiny brat cowards who won't even
go to Iraq unless assured their Imperial Body
Guards will show no mercy, i.e. err on the side
of no caution, shoot children if necessary, all to
keep America's precious "diplomatic" corps safe
and secure.
Of course this all means more blowback and
growing hatred for the USA -- the very opposite
of a real State Department mission, but no matter,
as this is just a cartoon government to begin with
i.e. "in name only". Its moral bankruptcy has been
on display for quite some time now... it invaded
a defenseless country for openers.
One might think the American people had the
common decency to reign in such an obviously
sick foreign policy, but they're too busy feeling
powerless and sorry for themselves (gas over
$3 a gallon, heavens!). Land of the free, home
of the brave -- NOT!
Not much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving,
in terms of where the USA is at spiritually. In
terms of pigging out, profligate waste, things are
going quite splendidly as usual. Camera crews
from around the world like to show all the waste
and squander up close. That reputation Americans
had for being generous and kind -- so easy to
counter these days, once you're on the ground
and see what they're *really* like.

When someone else tries that link, it leads to a login screen that
