pagan figures who changed water to wine

Jesus is supposed to have changed water to wine.

Osiris and Dionysus/Bacchus are also said to have
changed water to wine at a marriage ceremony.

I have also read years ago that some Hindu mystics
(or avatars?) are said to have changed water into
wine. (And I have asked on alt.religion.hindu for
more details including names.)

I claim that what all these figures really did
is to change FROM DRINKING water to DRINKING wine,
probably at full moon. I base that on my
personal experience, in that I have learned to
abstain from alcohol 1.0 to 9.0 days before full moon.

Blood, Moon and Wine together can make someone's lycanthropy flare up
like nobody's business.

Turning water into wine is stage magic. Any competent conjurers knows
several ways to do it. It is exactly the sort of thing that a priest
in the "olden days" would do to make it look like he had magic powers
from a God. The Bible is full of stuff like that if you know where to
look. Moses and the Egyptian priests held a "turning sticks into
snakes competition".

Then there's Elijah's magic duel with the priests of Baal that he won
by making wood burst into flames after pouring what he says is water
on it (but there is no account of anyone in the audience tasting it to
confirm that it is definitely not oil or other clear flammable
liquid.).
