have tried to increase my knowledge on my own. the process has been slower
than i would like and there is so much i realize i need to learn aside from
the proper way to pray. one of the biggest things is how to break the bonds
of my former life. as as single parent, for so long i have had to take on
both the female and male role. as such, i may have been trying too hard. i
was raised christian, but never felt comfortable; as if i knew that
something was missing in my life and that until i found out what it was, my
life would never be complete nor peaceful. i am the mother to 3 wonderful
children, although one for the moment, through no fault of my own, does not
live with me. this in and of itself is so hard and hurts my heart deeply.

there is really no muslim community where i live right now, and no mosque.
