Jinn in My Bedroom

I have been living in this house for 15 years. Over that time strange
things happened. Lights turning off an on and feelings of a presence
in the room. There are years of tranquility but every so often it
flares up. Currently there is a flare up.

As a Muslim I identify this presence as a Jinn. I cannot figure out
what I or my family have done to start him/her up again or if this is
a new Jinn. It started with a paralizing nightmare. Last night I felt
unreasonable fear. I tried my best to ignore it. My wife on the other
hand felt that someone was watching over her the whole night.

We read Al-baqara one night and that night was without fear. But it's
reappearance is getting me upset. I have to work and don't have time
to be spooked at night or have my dreams filled with nightmares.

Aside from reading Al-baqara is there a permanent solution to this
recurring Jinn visits?

Note the room is above the garage which, thanks to my father, is
filled with a lot of junk. Could this be contributing to these Jinn
visits?

Any constructive input is welcome. Thanks.

Salaam

Not meaning to offend but this sounds like a different kind of haunting.

Not by jinn, but by flesh and blood four-legged creatures.

Peace

Try reciting surah Al-Kursiy every night.

Or if you live in one of the muslim countries where
jinns presence are common, try asking an ulama who
is keen to paranormal activities, and ask his opinion.
Maybe he can point out something. (I know for
someone who's never been to these countries, it
sounds kinda weird, but it's true :)

I believe you are correct: a Muslim might come to that conclusion.

I got a good book the other day I'd like to recomend -->

"The World of the Jinn and Devils" by Dr Umar Sulaiman al-Ashqar

Quite fascinating!

SV
I suggest an electrical problem or perhaps high humidity and/or static.

SV
Perhaps these jinn are spiders or rats.

SV
"Unreasonable" would be the key word in the above paragraph. People get the
spooks once in a while and they can work themselves up over nothing. It
happens to everyone.

SV
Of course. Lots of junk probably attracts insects, rodents or other animals
to take up residence.

Salaam,

It may be natural as in the cases some have mentioned but you seem
farely confident that it's a jinn. I would first suggest investigating
further, if you haven't already.

If you are still certain, I encourage you to visit a Shaykh. I would
presume a Tassawuf Shaykh would have more knowledge on such issues
than a Scholar of the Law, but either may be useful.

As for recitations, It may help reciting Surah 113 and Surah 114.

Take care,
Tomasz Antkowiak
