1. (B) Parashurama, fifth son of Jamadagni & Renuka, encountered
Sri Rama and the whole entourage when they were returning to
Ayodhya from their wedding ceremony at King Janaka's Capital
Mithila. He challenged Sri Rama for atrial strength then. (1.74-76)
2. (B) 14 years. Kaikeyi thought that would be a sufficient period
for her son Bharata to establish a firm control over the
kingdom, even if the current favourite of the subjects (Sri Rama)
returns from exile. (Ref. 2.11)
3. (A). The following are the correct pair of couples. Sri Rama - Sita;
Lakshmana - Urmila; Bharata - Mandavi; Shatrughna - Shrutakirti
4. (D) Vishwavasu and KaikasA had three sons (Ravana, Kumbhakarna

epithet ‘Sri Ramavhandra’ came into vouge later! 2. So, also the
episode of Lakshmana-rEkha’. Lakshmana drawing on the ground three
parallel lines and asking Sita not to cross them, before he left
her alone in the hermitage.This is not found in Valmiki Ramayana! )
9. (D) Kabandha was a headless Rakshasa that Rama killed while Rama
& Lakshmana were roaming in the forest searching for Sita.
It is Kabandha, while dying, suggested Rama to seek friendship
