The answer to your question (at least the first one) is a plain and
simple yes. I am a Christian with a very active spiritual life with God,
and I have seen auras on more than one occasion. The ability or
inability to see them, however, all depends on a person's view of what,
exactly, they are. I believe that God endowed all living creatures with
a life force, and that force shows itself in a person's aura. There are
many untold abilities that humans have which we have not even begun to
experiment with, I believe, not the least of which has to do with
manipulating this God-given life force (or aura if you will). They are
not best sought, though I believe, without a strong dedication to God and
a belief in the fact that these gifts are received from him and should be
used for more than personal glory. While I am not an expert on the
subject, a number of my friends are much more heavily involved than I,
and I would be more than happy to begin a dialogue or conversations on
the intricasies of both this idea and other commonly labeled "occult"
concepts and how they might or might not relate to Christianity. I am
particualrly interested in the chinese concepts of Taoism, and the Way,
along with Astrology and Out-of-Body type experiences. Do people find
these sort of things to go against the precepts of Christianity? Might
this be because you aren't looking at the concepts the right way or, dare
I say it, don't really understand what the concepts are in the first
place? This seems like a perfect forum for discussion, and would thus
like to open it up. Any takers?
In Christ,
Jonathan
