Christ showed the real Gospel at the Reformation
so that people could again hear the Gospel and be saved,
and to break off the deception by the counterfeit church,
and to enable the Protestant Reformation.

Yet at the coming of Christ for his Church in the Rapture,
when the devil is cast out of the heavens down to earth,
before the Tribulation, by that time the devil (deceiver)
has again deceived "the whole world" (Revelation 12:9).

The Reformation Gospel is hardly heard today, and so
the whole world is again in deception, and relatively few
are being saved to be ready for Christ at the Rapture.

The Gospel was clear at the moment that Christ showed
it to Luther, but was rapidly clouded up by carryovers
from Catholicism: infant baptism, glorification of baptism
and Communion as though means of grace, glorification
of repentance as though needed before justification.

>From the time Christ gave the Reformation Gospel, there
has been a continual onslaught against it by the deceiver
and the world, clouding it up during the Reformation itself:
adding the Catholic carryovers into Reformation theology,
and further by adding so-called "double justification" thru
the Church of England and eventually to its many offshoots.

That deceptive "double justification" denies that the imputed
righteousness of Christ is forever sufficient to justify, but rather
adds in counterfeit "final justification" based on the so-called
"righteousness" of people rather than trusting in Christ alone.

In the Church of England, the real justification was emphasized
and the false "justification" was present but suppressed; then
when Methodism emerged, the emphasis shifted to the false;
that emphasis increased as one offshoot gave rise to another:
Methodism to Holiness movement, to Pentecostal movement,
until in the Charismatic movement, many Catholics became
Charismatics since by that time the doctrine of real justification
was suppressed, and since the Catholic Church had before had
its own charismata.

Today, the many false "gospels" are based on actual (inherent)
"righteousness" of self, rather than on the perfect righteousness
of Christ that must be imputed to us so that we have eternal life:

Catholics claim justification by imparted righteousness.
The Church of England, its Anglican Communion, and
Methodism, by imputed first, but afterwards by imparted.
Thousands of other denominations, such as Baptists,
Charismatics, Neo-Charismatics, by own "righteousness"
(as by repentance, surrender, commitment, regeneration,
endurance; such to definitely have, but never to trust in for
salvation rather than Christ alone).

Hundreds of millions of people have been deceived into
believing they are being saved by their own "righteousness".
But Christ always has a saved remnant: today a few million,
scattered in the thousands of denominations and around
the world, that Christ has reached despite the clouding up
of the real Gospel, and despite the rampant false "gospels".
Those relatively few people that Christ has brought out of
the worldwide deception are those he takes in the Rapture.

They have trusted Jesus Christ the Son of God
to be their Righteous Substitute,
who lived a perfect life for them, died for them, and rose again:
on the cross, Christ paid for our sins as though his,
so that he could give us eternal life
as though his righteousness were ours.

The Gospel is posted at my website along with numerous
articles that further explain exactly what has happened.
