Christ came to earth as our Righteous Substitute,
and lived a life without sin for us,
and by that showed that his righteousness
is infinitely beyond any that anyone else has:
he kept the law of God without sin,
both the letter of the law
and the spirit of the law,
and Christ did that for us.
That is why the Gentiles could be saved
without ever entering the law of Moses,
because Christ kept that law for us in full
as our Righteous Substitute.
And that is also why Israel that is under the law,
but has never been able
to keep the law without sin,
is nevertheless counted righteous,
if they do not trust the law for salvation
but rather trust Christ alone.
Christ went to the cross for us,
and on the cross revealed his glory
as never seen in all eternity or in all creation:
Christ revealed his infinite righteousness,
his love for his Father and for us,
to go to the cross in our place
to take the penalty for our sin
so that he might impute
his own righteousness to us
in order to give us eternal life.
Christ gave his life for us,
that no one could ever take from him,
and then on the third day
he took up his life again.
Christ rose again
in triumph over every evil,
over the world, the devil, hell, and death.
Christ by his resurrection revealed his righteousness
to be always victorious over all,
the righteousness of God himself
which always stands triumphant no matter what.
Christ by his resurrection revealed his righteousness,
that he imputed to be ours on the cross,
to be fully acceptable to him for our salvation,
to be received by us thru the faith his gives us
that trusts in him to be our Righteousness and Salvation.
