Vorstand Hans Lassmann wird an Mäusen, Ratten und Meerschweinchen
experimentiert. Publikationshinweise gibt es zu Lassmann in
Kooperation mit der Leiterin des Bereichs Immunologie, Beatrix
Schwerer, in Bezug auf verwendete Ratten. In der Immunopathologie fügt
Michael Berger Ratten irreversible Gehirnschäden zu. Weitere Versuche
dieser oder ähnlicher Art unternehmen die meisten ForscherInnen des
Instituts, darunter Christian Pifl, Ernst Singer, Jan Bauer und
Sigismund Huck.
Fallbeispiel:
Versuche an 90 Ratten, die von Hans Lassmann durchgeführt wurden
Bei den Ratten werden durch Verabreichung bestimmter Substanzen
Symptome wie bei Multipler Sklerose (Lähmung aller Gliedmaßen bis hin
zum Tod) ausgelöst.
