Subject: NY times article on Aurora

I saw a NY times article on Monday which said that there was
little likelihood that the US actually had a prototype to replace
the Aurora. The US govt. denied that they were testing anything
in Nevada or California (surprise!) and they quoted some experts
that said that the Russian/French team was further along on their
scramjet technology. I had heard earlier that scramjets weren't
the direction th US was going with; from what I understand,
they're using pulsed propulsion with constant acceleration. Has
anyone read the same article? Any opinions? This is the first
article I've heard that has said there is no Aurora. It doesn't
seem to flow with the rest of the scuttlebutt.

Just wondering,
