Answer: He is fellow in the Book of Ruth who plucks off his shoe
and gives it to his neighbor.
Question: Who was "XXXX?"
Masons should know this answer and would recognize it as the name
of Solomon's Great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather. The
pillar that denotes "strength" was named for this man. In the text, he
is a man of some wealth who falls in love with Ruth, a widowed
indentured servant. He has secret knowledge that the fields that his
crew are cultivating belong to Ruth's Mother-in-Law, Naomi, the widow
of Elimilech. By marrying Ruth, he could easily obtain title; but
instead, he does the honorable thing and sees to it that ownership is
given to where it belongs, to Naomi. The shoe is given to the elders
to sign the contract but also to signify that the women are no longer
nomads and slaves.
This site later becomes the village of Bethlehem; and the story is
the foundation for Masons peculair interest in widows and orphans.

Bro. Bill, will it be out in the Hamptons or further West so that some
of us in the 1st Nassau can attend? If not, what are the chances of
getting a copy of the powerpoint program for use in our District?
Answer: She was sacrificed after being awarded two months to mourn her
virginity to honor a covenent between her father and T.G.A.O.T.U. so
that he would win for his people the Amonitish War.
Question: Who was Jepthah's daughter, his only child?
This event will be remembered by most Masons as 40 and 6 thousand
Amonites were felled by a waterford when they could not frame to
pronounce a particular word "aright."

FYI Brethren, the event will be held at Potunk Lodge # 1071 on Feb
4th, located in Westhampton. However, I do have a template in MS Power
Point that any Masonic Lodge can use. You will need to have a PC/
laptop with MS powerpoint 2000 or better, a TV/projector and screen
and someone to host and it helps to have 1 or 2 people with score
jeeping/judging. I am planning on using a simple paddle for
"contestants" to raise to answer. With the template all you have to do
is punch in the categories, answers and questions and the template
will do the rest. if you would like a copy please email me and I will
gladly send it on over. i can even include a list of questions and
answers I used last year to get you started.
When I did this last year it was a really fun night and the Brethren
there talked about it for the rest of the year, well worth the effort
and a few admitted that they learned something that night.

> virginity to honor a covenent between her father and T.G.A.O.T.U. so
> that he would win for his people the Amonitish War.
>
> Question: Who was Jepthah's daughter, his only child?
This one would work in OES as well.
