You dumb fucking faggots are the most pathetic and disgusting
thing I've ever seen! Alone, a faggot KNOWS he is a fould and
vile thing, but put ten or so of you putrid sacks of smelling
shit together in a room and *poof* before you know it you guys
have redesigned everything from history to the bible to reflect
your sickness in a positive light.

Die queers. Of AIDS.

I think it's quite funny that this person is trying to hide behind the
anonymous posting mechanism in a hateful post with this in the automatic
footer.

I've sent mail to the address given in the footer.

Me three. Immediately got back a very polite piece of mail saying
that this was indeed inappropriate and that <epithet here> would
be dumped if it posted again. Anon servers definitely have a purpose
but this is not it.

Precisely my reaction and action, and I got a note back thanking
me for bringing the item to the admin's attention.

I also sent a message to the address in the footer and got a message back
saying that the perpetrator had been warned. It had already been reported.
However, for those of us who do not appreciate this kind of thing, I think
we ought to let the address know - so the guy can be taken off rather than
start a flame war going. After all, sometimes the anon service provides a
convenient way to communicate legitimately (which I do not consider this one
to be).

No, first we redesign the ROOM.

I can't say that I respect your opinion, but I do understand your dislike of
my lifestyle. I have spent the last 29 years of my life trying to figure out
just who I am. Well, I'll be damned if I'm going to let some neo-nazi homo-
phobic, adolescent anal-retentive pube, tell me that I'm f****d up.

Truly I have come to the point in my life where I really don't give a shit
about what people think of me. In other words "Get a Grip" but not on my dick.

Actually, the irony here is that the original poster is hiding behind
a service designed to a few minutes - i'm posting
further and protect illegal solicitation - pedophilia seems to be
the leading customer base. And I believe that the first amendment
rationals (sp) advanced for same are thin. This offers the motss
reader a fine opportunity to consider the basis on which this
net.anarchy proceeds - you can say any damn fool thing you please,
provided you are willing to attach you name and suffer the
consequences of your logic, phallogecentricism, or spelling, whichever
is worst.

I suggest that anon services don't fit into this marketplace of ideas,
passions, predudices, &ct. (I just finished the first volume of
Foote's Civil War, in which McClellan &ct's an awful lot).

As a relatively impartial outside observer ("I'm not gay, just
a Systems Administrator") I always enjoy it when the homophobes
lash out at the populace of soc.motss... mostly because the
homophobes get so shredded and crispy in the process, which is
invariably entertaining.

As syl...@CVI.HAHNEMANN.EDU (Michael J. Nelson) said of recent
homophobe,

>I don't give a fuck what it showed the asswipe. We're not
>here for his entertainment, he's here for ours.

This strikes me as a great attitude. Certainly entertains me.
The question is, how to propagate it to other parts of the net
where the tongue-in-cheek- and humor-quotients aren't as high...

I think it's a genetic based formulation that occurs when
you get a critical mass of critical queers together. This
is the *only* place you'll probably ever see it :)

I sent a note to Julf at penet.fi after seeing the original post and
he quickly replied, saying that he had send the writer a warning and
that further abuse of the account would result in the termination of
the account. In addition, anon services like penet.fi undoubtedly do
serve a variety of questionable people/practices. But, many of the
recovery groups benefit from the use of anon servers. Thus, like with
most things, there are pros and cons regarding anon servers.
