Why Are There so Many Women in the Fathers' Movement?
By Glenn Sacks and Dianna Thompson

Three and a half decades after the rise of the feminist movement,
American gender politics have begun to come full circle.

The feminist movement has always been aided by sympathetic men, and
American women would never have come so far so fast without their support.
While women still face many problems, those problems have received a fair
and often extensive public hearing.

Today, men's issues--principally fathers' issues--are where many of
our nation's biggest gender inequities lie. And just as many men helped the
women's movement, many women are stepping forward to help fathers, forming
groups like Moms for Dads and the Second Wives Crusade. Today women make up
half of the membership of the fathers' movement.

Fathers' grievances include: blocked visitation and unenforced
visitation orders; "move away moms" who permit or even use geography to
drive fathers out of their children's lives; acceptance by the courts of
false and/or uncorroborated accusations of domestic violence or child abuse
as a basis for denying custody or even contact between father and child;
rigid, excessive, and often punitive child support awards; a "win/lose"
system which pits ex-spouses against one another by designating a custodial
and a noncustodial parent; and judicial preference for mothers over fathers
as custodial parents.

According to Virginia Forton, the Executive Director of Moms for Dads,
"Our current system torments non-custodial parents and their children by
allowing custodial parents to drive them out of their children's lives.
Children need both parents. At meetings I've seen so many fathers, with
tears running down their faces, talking about the children they're no longer
allowed to see. How could we, as women and as mothers, not try to help
them?"

Just as male feminists have been criticized by traditionalists as
dupes and opportunists, many women in the fathers' movement have been
condemned by the feminist establishment. Kim Gandy, president of the
National Organization for Women, says that women in the fathers' movement
are used by men the way "a man charged with rape will hire a woman lawyer to
represent him."

In The Price of Motherhood, feminist writer Ann Crittenden portrays
these women as petty and shortsighted pawns of men. Susan Faludi, author of
Backlash, likens them to Uncle Toms.

In reality, many pro-father women, such as Canadian Senator Anne
Cools, North America's premier pro-father public official, came from the
feminist movement. Cools was one of the most effective leaders of the
battered women's shelter movement during the 1970s.

Others, like Forton and Melanie Mays, a member of the advocacy group
Child's Best Interest, had little interest in fathers' rights or gender
politics until they came into contact with our family court system's
anti-father bias and its devastating effects on the people they love. In
Mays' case, witnessing a close relative and his children being tormented by
the court system spurred her to action. Other activists are grandmothers who
were cut out of their grandchildren's lives when their sons were cut out of
their children's lives.

At the core of the movement are second wives. Since over half of all
first marriages end in divorce, and 75% of divorcees remarry, there are many
second wives and second husbands who struggle with the effects of their
spouse's divorces.

Many second wives who marry divorced fathers have little inkling of
the maelstrom they are entering--custody disputes, access and visitation
denial, sudden child support increases, and the burden of legal fees spent
on fighting inequities. Some second marriages end in divorce because of
these pressures. Increasingly, however, these women and others are turning
to activism. According to Mays:

"The fathers' rights movement is the civil rights movement of our era.
Some belittle the plight of fathers, saying 'oh, they're men, they're
privileged, what have they suffered compared to other groups?' The answer is
this--whatever horrors blacks or women or other groups have endured in the
past 50 years, nobody ever took their children away. What discrimination and
what injustice is worse than that?"

rotten eggs dripping from your no-longer-smirking faces. You will be so

have disavowed them for their well documented association with pedophilia.

I can confirm that some of the most active & hostile people where child support
is concerned are "new partners of non-resident parents", normally women, for
exactly those reasons. Some of my key contacts in lobby groups are such women,
and some of those lobby groups rely on their time & effort. (They often do NOT
like being called "second wives"!)

Sorry for topposting, but...

The problem with this article, as I see it, is that it paints a rather
bleak picture of women. I am not sure I disagree with it. It tries to
liken women in the men's movement of today with men of women's movement of
yesteryear. But the two cases are not analogous, not in the sense that the
authors seems to think. Men were in the women's movement because they
believed in it; they were not really affected by it, not then. But women
are in the men's movement, to a large degree, because men's problems are
now beginning to affect women. Certainly there are exceptions to this, and
Anne Cools is largely unique. "Second Wives". The authors are also
confusing the men who helped in the women's movement with women who help
*fathers*. I would hazard a guess that they consider childless men
irrelevant.

Well, their presence seems to make about as much sense as would John

True, and this is a problem for a woman because? Oh it's not,
furthermore you can still tell I have a physique, unlike you of course
who has gone to pot and has to go workout all the time to try to reclaim
yours (have you ever been in shape enough to play 9 innings?).

True, and this is a problem for a woman because? Oh, it's not, it's only
a problem for you because you are a man with the equipment and the
desire but no follow through! Part of that spinal thing no doubt.

All that you have is envy of all of those things.

It would be great for you if that were true, but as you know I am
completely satisfied with myself and am healthy in body spirit and sex
life, unlike some idiots who are spineless sexist shit piles.

That's right; disparage what you can't have. Those grapes are sour
anyway.

Well, it's the reason why men are always knocking you up instead of
the other way around.

That's a little like saying the most studious kid isn't the brightest
because he spends too much time studying.

At 9 innings, most casual players in a pickup game are just getting
warmed up.

Well, without a penis, your experience of sex isn't enjoyable. But
three bastard kids provide you with all of its headaches.

Just talk.

Dr. Freud says that you are the envious one, and it stands to reason
that you would be.

Three bastard kids. Three different fathers. Stuffed you. Might
have raped you. Might have beaten you. Then they left you. You had
it all coming, but it's a shame about those kids who didn't ask to be
born.

You should try to live a more virtuous life. Then when you die, you

You think that this is a problem? It's easily rectifiable using my own
body. After I had all the children I wanted and could support I simply
altered my reproduction permanently.

No it's not, it's like saying you sat on your ass too long and now you

You can still be raped. You can't rape men or get them pregnant. It
tears the heart out of you to know that you can't do those things to
men.

I guess that I should go out and kill someone just to prove that I
have enough resolve for you and that I should stop exercising because
you tell me that it's "far better" that way.

It's nice to know that you have my best interests at heart.

Don't make me treat you like your father did when you were bad.

I'll ask you the same question that he did: "What did I just tell
you?"

You are envious of a man's physique. You are envious of a man's
intellect. You are envious of a man's equipment.

You are envious of the fact that a man can roam from town to town
spreading his seed while you have to invest 9 months out of your life
in every pregnancy. You are envious of the fact that sex has more
consequences for you than it does for him and that you don't even get
any enjoyment out of it in return. There, there.

Wanting to urinate standing? Some obscure and pointless reason?

As long as you don't leave contact information, you mean.

You have some really stupid ideas, GA.

YOu'd be down for the count after one good hit.

So can you.

You can't rape men or get them pregnant.

I can rape them and make them reproduce (not that I would).

Better than just spewing idiocy. At least then you will have shown some
spinal fortitude.

and that I should stop exercising because

No, keep it up, it's just a shame that this is what you have reduced
yourself to.

I can't make you do any such thing.

He never needed to ask that as his comprehension level was sufficient to

I'm not. I just know I don't need a penis to have: physical strength,
intellectual ability, sexual pleasure, athletecism, ability to defend
and protect my home, ability to earn enough to support my family,
ability to understand politics and vote accordingly, etc, etc. Which
deflates your penis "entitlement" attitude and hence harms your fragile
ego.

Nope.

I like being the one with final decision making ability. It is a natural
female advantage.

You are envious of the fact that sex has more

Unless he doesn't control himself and then decides he wants "paper
abortion".

This is just personal experience of your lovers being projected onto me,
it changes reality by zero.

Yes, I still love him. I beat him back when he beat me, the likewise
thing. You can't stop love though, and he did get help and he's doing
fine for now anyway.

Reality remains. My kids thrive and are not one single problem or
trouble. Totally under control and progressing at expected (high)
levels.

I admit it freely, however his hits were NOT good enough to take me out
so he was faced with return with like. If you do not want me to hit you
back after you hit me you need to kill me or be unknown and far away
when I come to.

Did they know that before you had the children, or
were they just breeding animals for you?

There is no way I would voluntarily risk becoming a father.
That would mean giving someone else the right to take
my children from me whenever they wanted to, which is
far too great an imbalance of power and far too great
a risk.

It's different. You might actually be rooting for me. She would be
rooting for me to get caught. That is the idea behind urging me to do
it in the first place.

A penis provides more benefits than just that.

I guess that should be inserted as a qualifier.

And I have a feeling that none of these guys did.

What?

Of course. I see that we are starting to recognize that we really
can't believe everything that the Spice Girl says.

Yes, even if God is omnisicient, it's a little hard to believe that
Jennifer Larson could be a part of any divine plan.

Among other things, if she ever met Him face to face, she would call
Him a rancid woman-hating sexist patriarchal piece of shit and
harangue Him for cursing her with a woman's body.

Yes they did absolutely know it, well I did tell them all that I am not
ever getting married nor do I tend to want to nest at all (though father
of youngest did not actually believe me ((he still doesn't! even though
I've been gone for years he _still_ wants me to quit my job and get
married!)).

Your body your choice.

I understand your sentiments wrt sexism in parenting. Well those
daughters of mine have loving dads and this is important to me for them
to have that. I have never once even tried to remove them from the dad.
My oldest's father is/and was married and lied about it, he really isn't
in her life via his choice (he sends her letters and cards and gifts on
occassion), not mine nor does he give money. Middle dad has been there
since birth of his daughter and has joint custody of her, he was very
young at the time of her birth and stepped right up to the plate and she
was a real momma's girl, he took her screaming to the top of her lungs
every weekend :D now she doesn't of course :D The dad of youngest got
PISSED off when I told him I was leaving due to his violent outbursts
and of course got violent but I ran and he couldn't catch me, and kept
me away from her for about 3 mo's before going to court, tried to get
full custody with $$$big time$$$ lawyers, etc. but we have joint
physical custody and he knows she needs us both and he was wrong and
lashing out at me (at her expense). I informed _all_ of them of any
contraceptives I was using and that I would not abort if I became
pregnant. They all were fully informed as to my status and reproductive
decision(s). I'm not busting their balls even a little bit. They know
it (all of them have plenty of assets my middle daughter's father has
advanced himself leaps and bounds in the past 10 yrs since becoming a
parent this is for him and his daughter not MY benefit) I know it my
kids know it and they consider themselves fortunate but to me it is just
the way it _should_ be! I have all of them under my benefit plan which
includes all medical and dental and free college tuition and no, I don't
expect the dad to "pay me back" for it it's not about that it's about
what will benefit my child. I actually believe "best interest of the
child"! I _***LOVE***_ those girls and they are going to learn by my
example that women are not here to LEACH off of men!

{Parg} Freud's views, especially on women, have been debunked and are now used
as a form of humor. Even in the film, Titanic, Freud was portrayed as a target

{Parg} Johnny spermalseed is only a tool, hon. <G> Women can have a family

OK, so the error was theirs.

Only it isn't because I'm a man. You can ignore the law and social
custom all you like, but they won't go away.

I'm sure they would beg to differ.

Then how do you NOT voluntarilly risk becoming a father???!!!

Controlling your body is all you need to do to NOT risk becomming a
father. EOS!

We've been here before. It's pointless going there again. I
am, in your own words, a sperm-squirter. Men and men
alone cause pregnancy. A woman cannot rape a man.
I already know your opinions and I don't want to waste
my time with them again.

I'm surprised. You gave the impression that you never left your room
other than to steal a book of matches or watch an Arsenal match. You
used to talk about how uneventful your life ewas.

We've argued this point before, and I still think that I won the
argument.

"There's providence in the fall of a sparrow".

"There's a divinity which shapes our ends/Rough hew them as we will"

I think that both of those lines are from Hamlet.

So?

YOUR views on women have been debunked and are now used as a form of
humor.

You still seem to expect that your opinion will be given respect.

Yes, and in the movie "Field of Dreams", Shoeless Joe Jackson was
portrayed as a right-handed hitter.

Hollywood'll screw it up every time.

You wouldn't recognize him if he passed you by in the street, dear.

Left to their own devices, men would not want families. Domesticity
is a female-laid trap.

Not in other parts of the world.

That's another concept that you wouldn't recognize if it passed you by

You keep citing movies and TV shows as though the products of a
writer's imagination were proof of anything.

You do. The Spice Girl does.

Oh Puke; you will do anything to find a friend.

A few months ago, Morgan and I were having an argument on
fundamentalism, and I took the anti-fundamentalist position so you put
your gnarly old arm around my shoulder and called me "friend" and
told me that I seemed well-provided for in the love department.

Bleah!

And now your views on female sexuality coincide more with Morgan's
than with mine so you're trying to seduce him.

Just because he thinks that I have some "stupid ideas" doesn't mean
that he thinks that you have any good ones.

You are so lonely and pitiful. But I just don't have it within me to
feel sorry for you.

Actually, I would just be showing that I'm as stupid as you are.

Why don't you kill the man who beat you up? Don't you have any spinal
fortitude?

You need a penis to do all of those things, or at least to do them
well.

Men can always take it away.

Sure, that was my original point. Men enjoy sex. That's one of the
reasons why women envy men.

Loves the man who beat her. Spineless. Victimist mentality.

Or she could use a weapon to threaten him. Either a physical
one or a psychological one, like threatening to falsely accuse
him of raping her.

It isn't much more difficult for a woman to rape a man than it
is for a man to rape a woman, if they want to rape someone.

I don't think I did. I like going out at four or five o'clock in the
morning for a run. Of course, I don't have a trainer like you. Besides,
I don't smoke or commit arson so I wouldn't have much use for matches.

I think her views coincide more with yours, that men are sex-crazed
beasts.

> that he thinks that you have any good ones.

She doesn't seem to have any ideas, she just denigrates penises. She
sems obsessed with the male genitalia.

The man-hating woman, like the cold woman, is largely imaginary. She
is simply a woman who has done her best to snare a man and has
failed.
-- Norton

The female, moreover, is completely occupied and content with sexual
matters, whilst men are interested in much else, in war and sport, in
social affairs and feasting, in philosophy and science, in business
and politics, in religion and art. ... Of contemporary women at least
one thing is certain. Apart from an exception to be noted in chap.
xii, it is certain that when the female occupies herself with matters
outside the interests of sex, it is for the man that she loves or by
whom she wishes to be loved. She takes no real interest in things
themselves. It may happen that a real female learns Latin; if so, it
is for some such purpose as to help her son who is at school. Desire
for a subject and ability for it, interest in it, and the facility
for acquiring it, are usually proportional. He who has slight muscles
has no desire to wield an axe; those without the faculty for
mathematics do not desire to study that subject. Talent seems to be
rare and feeble in the real female (although possibly it is merely
that the dominant sexuality prevents its development), with the
result that woman has no power of forming the combinations which,
although they do not actually make the individuality, certainly shape
it.

I could, I won't because I have no interest or desire in doing so.

No, it does not bother me in the slightest. My cat knocked the fish food

you.

You want to inflict it on them.

No, I don't want to kill or injure or rape any person that does not
first attempt or inflict like on me. You would be showing that your
spine has some bracing to it, like mine. If I want to do something I
just do it. Pining away is for weakspine like yourself. Of course you

are too stupid to do anything of this magnitude without fucking yourself
over.

I could have killed him. As he was clutching his chest I grabbed a heavy
stone lamp and let him know just how weak and FUCKED up he was *get the
mental picture: foot on chest holding 30lb stone over skull. Obviously I
did not WANT to kill him. I don't overreact like some idiotic people.

No, it's a shame you have to reduce your flab and fat accumulation, it's

stagnancy probably fantasizing about injuring and killing women.

It is. My dad would never be retarded enough to answer a question with a

Not even a slight tinge. I like my receptacle end. It has the g-spot in
there my men get my clit, dual sensation orgasm it's great. I cum much
harder and longer than most men I've had sex with. It is exhausting. As
for pissing standing up that could be convinient but to trade the
protected clit for the unprotected penis in such sensitive things,
again, I consider myself fortunate.

2 out of 3 yes.

No, more steel spine. If I hated him I would have cleaned him out when
he took me to court to try to get full custody or killed him like his 2
wk ex-wife tried to do, our daughter is his only heir, if I ever see her
I will pound her sleaze ass into the ground. Instead I helped him to
change his ways for our daughter's sake all is well we all get along
fine and do things together as a family. He doesn't live with me and we
don't have sex anymore *darn it because he is excellent in bed* because
he can't hack the fact that I won't marry him and/or commit for life.

That stupid idiocy may have wilted your girlfreind in the fifties but I
seriously doubt any modern person would even consider it other than as
laughable feeble attempt to minimize others to prop themselves.

> > I love him. I just can't be monogamous to him.

He learned not to beat me, good enough for me. He is a good man who lost
control, nothing more or less. It helped him to understand that his
daughter's mother is steel-spined and most likely passed this trait on
to his daughter whom is the apple of his eye. Attitudes about women
often change when you have a daughter, something you'll never
experience.

That shows some knowledge of male physiology, which is sadly rare.

Point 1: It's the testicles that are the relevant part, not the penis.

Point 2: The relevance is to testosterone production and puberty (higher
testosterone production results in a bigger increase to the size of the
voicebox and thus a deeper voice). Since Ted Drake is an adult, the job
has already been done.

No, they coincide more with yours - that men must cater to women's
so-called sexual needs.

Yes, she wishes to destroy that which she cannot have. Puke and

Well, there are limits, of course.

Cannot help but to have the impression that some of these
men's-movement women are simply out to score brownie-points with the
guys (as if these women are ashamed of their God-given evolutionary
properties - their womanhood). While it's one thing to be very
critical of radical-feminism, but for these women to fall in and

Sounds like sour grapes on your part... most of the women here who
dislike the rantings of so-called feminists are in fact happily
married women and are not flirting with men. What you disdainfully
refer to as "mens-movement women" really means "women against the
sexism and bias against men as force-fed to women by feminism."
Whenever a woman refuses to be taken in by feminist rantings and does
not show loathing for men, the feminists promptly announce that she
must be a man in disguise, and shower her with epithets and juvenile
insults. Feminism is not supportive of all women, only selected
females who demonstrate anti-male sentiments..

>(as if these women are ashamed of their God-given evolutionary
>properties - their womanhood).

Having a working uterus is not grounds for sainthood, nor is it
something to put on your resume as a qualification for anything.
"Shame" has nothing to do with it.

Funny, there is at least one feminist who posts here who, when
(frequently) unable to provide rational discussion, resorts to
announcing her bra cup size. Another man-hating feminist likes to
boast that she is a dominatrix who enjoys tying up men and spanking
them. Talk about fulfilling male fantasies... LOL

Don't worry girls, phalloplasty makes great strides every day.

You're not heartless enough.

{Parg} Aren't you pleased that when you look up "man" in the dictionary, it
doesn't show a picture of a penis with a fist?

{Parg} How is being a penis with a fist about "bending"?

{Parg} "Patriarchy" means male-only rule; why would a man who loved women
support that at all? Do you have daughters?

Fake>patriarchy is what gives men stress and kills them.

{Parg} Being a dick with a fist would tend to kill anyone early. But, having
the total responsibility to rule the world, with women as children or slaves,
also could add a bit of stress.

Let's put the>stress on women.
>

{Parg} That's what women are demanding. As women take more and more
traditionally male only jobs, hobbies, etc., more of them will tend to take on
traditional male only kinds of stress. Of course, women may also handle such
stress in a different way, AND dealing with children may have prepared them for
stress. <G>

Speaking of overly sensitive organs on the outside of their bodies,
how about women's breasts. They are far more subject to disease and
damage than men's genitals. And they are far less useful or used in
continuing the human race. They are used more for breast envy among
women and to attract men, than to sustain the race.

Women are obviously envious of men in several ways. They envy men's
ability to earn more money. They envy men not having to take time
off for child bearing. Many envy men's height, so they wear high
heels and big hairdos. Many envy men's broader shoulders, so they
wear shoulder pads. Etc. etc...... The list goes on. Men and
women are physically different. I can live with it. Can you?

Your attitude toward men shows that you do not place them on an equal
footing. Granted there are differences. Live with them.

The way it really works is that women do require a man to supply the
sperm. Children benifit having a father help raise them.

Men's genitals are not subject to cancer to the degree that women's
breast are.

You brought up the subject of "overly sensitive organ on the outside
of their bodies". I compared that to women's breast(s) which are
also "overly sensitive organ(s) on the outside of their bodies". That
they are different as apples and oranges does not flaw the comparison.
You just have a tizzy and get overly defective when a man points out
that women also have problems and are not perfect.

Right, and they should envy these male privileges. That envy provides
motivation to better themselves. I have no problem with that.

No body asked that they do place a value. You certainly value the
penis as a subject here. It just shows where your mind is. Between
some guy's legs. You seem to have a penis envy problem. <G>

Your conclusion is flawed as I didn't assume any such thing.

It was never a question of trust. It is how life is. Get over it.

Good. Then quite putting down male differences every chance you get.
I don't see you doing the same to female differences. Your prejudice
is always showing.

Unfortunately for children a similar weeding procedure does not
effectively cull out bad mothers. It is the children who suffer when
good fathers are so easily prevented from caring for their children
and bad mothers are allowed. Children should have rights to both
parents. But the feminist movement doesn't want children to have any
rights unless it served women and can be controlled by women.

Drones may be male or female. Women have often signed away the lives
of their children, thus treated them as chattel. The material girls
of the feminist movement have children as chattel.

And women who are masculinists are also often married to them as well.
Both sexes have equal list signing rights.

Your viewpoint is a reasonable one, JHS, and your last two sentences
are an ideal viewpoint of the world, not of the world as it really is.

In real life, women really don't support men.

Maybe there's a few women in the father's rights movement. I have a
jaundiced view on that; they are just giggling to themselves and
trying to tie an apron around "dad" by cynically supporting his
custody rights.

But where are the women opposing pro-female affirmative action? Where
are the women opposing male-bashing in TV, movies and advertising?
Where are the women saying, "My husband, father, son, brother isn't
like that and I don't appreciate your ugly stereotyping of him"?

Where are the soccer moms telling the politicians that they did not
mean for Title IX to increase their daughter's opportunties to play
sports at the expense of their sons?

Those women don't exist. The vast majority of women think that life
is just peachy in a man-hating culture; actually, the vast majority of
women think that society still isn't misandric enough and would still
say solemnly if asked, "We still have a long way to go."

Exactly where are the soccer moms when unlevel legislation is voted on.
And indeed "Where are the women saying, "My husband, father, son, brother

If women want whats fair today, why do they only side with issues that they
consider fair to

Indeed they can say: "We still have a long way to go." they just need to
change the direction.

{Parg} I brought up the comparison between the female genitals, neatly tucked
where they are less exposed to harm, and male genitals, and then you try making
the losing argument about the female breast being useless. I'm laughing at
you, dear.

I compared that to women's breast(s) which are>also "overly sensitive

{Parg} Are you suggesting that women's breasts are exposed to more danger
than the penis? You might want to rethink that position, especially in times
of war.
<G>

That>they are different as apples and oranges does not flaw the comparison.

{Parg} Sure it does. All you can do is make fruit salad, hon. You are an

{Parg} Where did I EVER say that women were "perfect"? In fact, I have spent

than you in order to deserve equal rigths.

{Parg} You did, hon. You think Freud was right, but today, educated people

You certainly value the>penis as a subject here.

{Parg} The penis isn't really the subject here, rather, the subject is women
in the men's movement, and this particular thread seems to be more about your
misinterpretation of what women value.

It just shows where your mind is. Between

{Parg} Sure you did. You incorrectly assumed that the talent of child bearing
is a flaw; clearly it is not. Men are so jealous over women's ability in that
arena, they had to fake a male only godhead.

{Parg} I agree with that analysis. Of course, most mothers STAY.

It is the children who suffer when

{Parg} No one can promise a child one parent, let alone two. People die,

Obviously, they are SUPPORTING the unlevel legislation, which is being
introduced in the first place with the soccer moms in mind.

They are watching the movies and TV shows that feature that ugly
stereotyping; they are buying the products whose commercials feature
that ugly stereotyping.

Again, the "ugly stereotyping" of men is meant to appeal to the female
audience, and if it didn't draw a large female audience, it wouldn't
occur.

The answer to that question is too obvious to even put into words.

Why do you THINK?

Have you ever slopped hogs? Do they object to the slop? Or do they
feed on it and roll in it?

You mean "turn back the clock"?

Everyone knows that no matter how bad a course of action is; no matter
how unfair and how terrible the consequences, once a feminist reform
is instituted, it can never be eliminated or reversed.

The feminist status quo must be maintained at all costs because
nothing is worse than "TURNING BACK THE CLOCK."

I have no idea what this means. I have no idea what you just said.

What keeps them busy is looking for some examples. You can't have a
feminist dictatorship if you can't find an anti-feminist scapegoat or
two.

There were never any jokes at female expense. Never happened.

But you said that you hated your father for being a sexist.

So a man must become a feminist to avoid stereotyping.

Actually, that's not even true. Men are being stereotyped just for
being men.

Assimilating with the larger German culture didn't prevent Jews from
being subject to the Holocaust.

Becoming feminists doesn't save men from the generalized anti-male
sentiment that they help to promote.

Yeah, but I thought that he might still be with you in a sense.

Yeah, the Skipper chose Gilligan. Your skipper made an even worse
choice.

And what's with this "mate" crap? You used to boast that you were

Yes, like Herman Goerring's declaration to the effect of "we place a

Actually, I don't anymore.

"Feminist Party A vs Feminist Party B" is no choice at all.

You should have paid more attention in Home Economics, Puke.

You might have learned how to catch and hold a man without even
needing to shoot him down.

According to dictionary.com a mate is:

Either of a pair of animals brought together for breeding.

Dykes don't mate. She means "life partner".

knowledge and skill back to the West where these maiming, disfiguring
and crippling techniques could be made available to the simple
layman.

That might explain her hatred of men. No one else could satisfy her
like dad.

Manitoba, Africa is lovely this time of year.

Perfect place for two life partners to have a second honeymoon.

It's what they want you to think - that you have a choice about
shaping your own destiny.

Didn't you say that you were voting Tory in the next election?

I know; I know; Tony Blair's so horrible that you have to do
SOMETHING.

Well, she claims to be above it.

Well, I'm lowering myself to the topic of conversation.

It's only demagoguery if it's being done to you.

If you're doing it to someone else, it's advocacy.

Yes, I guess I would do that too if it ever became an option over
here.

My god, myn.

You have no idea who is monitoring this board.

Aren't you worried now about a knock on your door in the middle of the
night?

Not that I am in a position to talk.

I've done some crazy things on the Internet myself, but usually while
under the influence of liquor.

Back in 1993 or so, when I was really shikkered up, I had just enough
brainpower and motor skills left to log on and not enough to control
myself.

I sent an email to the Clinton White House which read, "Die, spawn of
Satan!"

The next morning, I saw that the auto-responder had sent me an email
thanking me for my letter and promising me that it would receive the
utmost consideration - but I doubt that it did.

I'm lucky that I didn't get in trouble for that, but for all I know,
my name is in a file somewhere. I never would have done that while
sober.

And a little over a year ago (I think I was sober at the time, but I'm
not sure), I logged onto Gary Condit's web site. He's what's known as
a "Blue Dog" Democrat, and if you have a sound card and point the
mouse over the "Blue Dog", it barks for you.

I sent an email to him asking, "OK, Blue Dog. Where'd you bury the
bones?"

Well, it was an honest question. I really shouldn't get in any
trouble for that.

I think that you're right.

Puke would spit out of her grave.

Do you really think that Puke would lie?

Don't you know how much the idea that Puke is a liar devastates my
faith in the human race in general, in women in particular, and in
Puke most of all?

Say it isn't so!

Well, are you studying this deadly martial art?

To me it's always demagoguery, I like the word.

New Labour have some very strange ideas for increasing voter turnout.
Down to 56% at the last election.

And I don't really care.

Not really. The local police are always complaining about their own
inadequacy, I would escape. I sleep in the afternoon, the middle of the
night is the middle of the day to me. My biggest problems would be my
legs, which are knackered from too much running, and my arms and chest,
which have done too many push ups. My shoes are quiet, though, being
slippers, so it's easy to stay unnoticed in the pitch blackness of the
night.

And you didn't. I freely admit to commiting actual crimes, including
trespassing, shoplifting, criminal damage, assault, loitering with
intend, theft and various others. I never got in trouble, except for a
verbal warning not to commit criminal damage again.

One of your female American columnists accused British men of being
repressed homosexuals. I'm not fond of women. See here:

Don't believe anything written by Robert Rankin. He writes far fetched

Like Hobbes the Tiger likes the word "smock".

The Democrats are the liberal party; the Republicans are the
conservative party; a "Blue Dog" Democrat is someone who is
conservative considering the fact that he is a Democrat.

No. It was a legitimate question that many were asking really.

And now, of course, those bones have turned up and it actually was
some dogs who found them.

The dogs weren't blue, though.

<Sigh> OK, it's the Morgan-Drake two-step. The subject is being
changed without notice.

Well, the woman you are talking about is an actress, not a columnist.

Yecch. I'm not British, but I think that I could pass her up also.

Anyway, this story gives me an excuse to drag out that "buffalo"
analogy again.

Every time a Western woman asks, "Where are all of the men?", I always
think of some buffalo hunter from the Old West (that is, the American
West) - who's got buffalo skins covering his home and buffalo meat in
his locker - wondering where all of the buffalo have gone to.

Translation: No, you are not studying this deadly martial art. You
are just interposing, at random, another non sequitur into the
conversation.

I like the word "arse". It has a very satisfying quality about it.

Maybe, bloody awful here though.

Of course not. I'm not allowed to kill people, I was merely commenting
on what I think is most practical.

With a smile on my face and a pair of brightly striped slippers I'd have
the world at my feet. Wales is nice, there maybe. Who knows? I'd do
alright. Or I'd freeze to death, it doesn't really matter. I approach
every day and every situation with a smile on my face. The prospect of a
slow and painful death holds for me no fear at all. And, having partaken
in long fasts in the past I am ready for hardship.

Dogs don't often come in blue. Polar bears occasionally come in green,
though.

The police did arrest someone I was shoplifting with, missed me though.
Luck of the devil.

Well, there's only about two or three dozen of them, to police a town of
thirty thousand. About a third of those are based with the police cars
and armed response vehicles twenty minutes away. The local advertiser,
just two weeks ago, ran a front page story about an interview with two
PCs claiming they "can't protect us". I am a law abiding citizen,
mostly, nowadays, so they have nothing to worry about from me. Nothing
serious, anyway.

This neighbourhood isn't that bad, apart from the armed robbers,
rapists, drug dealers, fraudsters, thieves and arsonists. Nice
architecture, though. Lots of cats.

Equally effective in conveying disrespect.

I didn't change the subject. This is a reason my opinion of women
remains though.

> Well, the woman you are talking about is an actress, not a columnist.

The article in the Mirror, the first link above, mentions a columnist as
well as Paltrow.

> Yecch. I'm not British, but I think that I could pass her up also.

I don't see why she's meant to be so attractive. Good looking women are
two a penny, what's so special about her? Apart from the repellant
personality, of course.

Men are everywhere. If she wants one, why doesn't she do anything about
it? I suppose the lesbian sheep joke is true.
