SMM Outage

Hi all,

Firstly an appology for the lack of posts in here recently. Mark told
me about a problem with the modbot some weeks a go but I have not had
time to look into it until now.

Basically smm is currently receiving >20,000 submissions a dar of which
>99.9% are spam. This amount has overloaded the modbot, the back end
database was taking so long to query that the web page session was
timing out. It has also had an effect on my bandwidth and disk space
usage for the domain.

I have now enabled account level spam filtering [0]for the submission
address. Hopefully this should remove the spam posts before they get to
the modbot.

[0] Using spam assassin. Currently the threshold is set to 6 but I will
keep this under review.
