The ancestry of Adolf Hitler is discussed on pp. 7-8 of William
Shirer's "The Rise and fall of the Third Reich." Hitler's grandfather,
Alois, had been born out of wedlock to Maria Anna Schicklgruber. Five
years after Alois' birth, Maria married Johann Georg Hiedler. Shirer
states: "It is most probable that the father of Alois was Johann
Hiedler, though conclusive evidence is lacking."
In a TV documentary within the past year, the narrator claimed that
Alois had been born when Maria was working as a housekeeper for a
wealthy Jewish family. The narrator further stated that Hitler was
haunted by the possibility that Alois' father was a member of that
Jewish family. I would appreciate more information about this.

admitted Germanhater,and didnt know his ass from a hole in the ground. If
you wanna know something about Hitler, read Tolands book , Speers
recollections, and David Irvings books about Hitler.

What exactly is "earthshaking!"--What Shirer wrote or what the

As far as Adolfs Jewish ancestry, what dif does it make? Thats the oldest
Hitler story around. But Its more likely that Goering was part Jewish.
Many Nazis were. Manstein and Milch were both half Jewish. It wasnt aginst
the law. Many Hebrews served in the Wehrmacht. And 6 million is not even
accepted by Yad Vashem anymore.

So, some figure however slightly it differs from 6 million,
is therefore invalid?
How far off does it have to be before you claim it wasn't
6 million? 5,800,000? 5,600,000?

Approx 14 million went into the death camps, with approx 5.5 - 6 million
being Jews. Less than half. People tend to forget that. Most young people
think only Jews went in those camps.
