I am looking for information on the battle of Trafalgar. I am wondering if
there is a reference book with a timeline showing the ship movements. There are
so many ships in the battle but so much attention placed on Nelson's death,
that I have yet to find a detailed description of ship movement. Thanks for any
help you can supply.

My favorite period of history. There are an amazing number of books writen
about the battle and about Nelson himself, but certainly more about Nelson
nad his actions and death than about detail of the battle as you have
notice.

One book I can recommend is "Countdown to Battle 1803-1805", by Alan Schom.
It gives a fairly concise history of the evently leading up to the battle
and a good detailed acount of the battle itself. It talks a lot about the
overall battle and about the individual engagments withing the battle.

The battle lasted all day and ships move slowly. After the initial line of
battle engagment in the morning it degenerated into what at least looked
like chaos, numerous smaller engagements throughout the rest of the day.

There are lot's of naval battles in that war worth reading about. The Nile
is an especially good as is the battle of Copenhagen. There are many books
about both and about all the other great and small battles of the naval war.
