Hello,

Who can give me some correct information about
General Arthur Schmidt, chief of staff of the German sixth Army
at Stalingrad. I'm looking for his date of birth and things like that.
A short biografy.....what happened with him after he surrendered
at Stalingrad.

General Arthur Schmidt, chief of staff of the German sixth Army
at Stalingrad is discussed briefly in Anthony Beevor's recent book,
"Stalingrad" and also in "Enemy at the Gates", an older book by Craig on
the same subject. Perhaps that will serve as a starting point in your
research.
