Hi,

I've just read that the Japanese Soldiers taunted American Soldiers by yelling
"Fuck Babe Ruth". Is this true? Was it effective?

What other taunts were used?

The source was an article in the April '98 GQ magazine (page 218, column 2,
2nd paragraph). The author, John Schulian, was illustrating how revered "The
Babe" was in those days.

Thanks,

Frank

As Captain Miller of SPR might say: "Now, that is disconcerting".

On a similar note, during the Greek-Turkish rioting in Cyprus in the
Fifties, the British security troops were apparently 'taunted' by slogans
daubed on walls such as : "Your Queen is a man"...
