My Grandfather finds it hard to read, so what I do is go to youtube and
play for him some lectures to listen to. I find it good as he can stop when
he wants and replay parts. Most importantly it exercises his brain.

Some universities do release such talks. However, in can be difficult to
find high quality talks as he wants at least an hour long.

Is there a good site where I find these talks?

Thanking you in advance.

Itunes has a an "I-University" or something like that. A couple of
colleagues have done some medieval history podcasts and loaded them there.

Have you thought about public radio? Both BBC and CBC have 'listen
again' pages or podcasts for shows on a wide variety of topics. CBC's
'Ideas' is wide-ranging, but sometimes has historical subjects, and BBC
has an even wider selection. Other countries probably have something
similar.

Maybe Google Video search would be a good starting point:
<http://video.google.de/videosearch?hl=de&source=hp&q=history%20lectures&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wv#hl=de&source=hp&q=history+lectures&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wv&view=0&dur=3>

With a bit of patience, you might be able to find sites with a range of
academic-grade lectures.

Good Question,

I always listen to some podcasts before falling asleep,

He could try the podcast of the Ancient Warfare Magazine
(www.ancient-warfare.com), a mag. that is edited by one of my bestest mates
for those who enjoy reading about Persian cavalry and all. There are plans
for a medieval-warfare mag.

Sceptics Guide to the Universe is another nice podcast, allthoiugh I don't
like all the voices in this cast, the subjects are intresting.

I have never used it for this - generally I search for public domain texts
here - but the Internet Archive allows you to search for audio and video. I
did an audio search using the term "history lectures" and a lot came up -
more specific searches might help you hone in on what you're looking for.

Hope this helps.

Below is what you're looking for, their sale prices are 70 pct off, so
you always by stuff on sale. Also, there is a brisk secondary market on
ebay and Amazon, where the prices are even lower.

Libraries often carry these series, too.

Merry xmas.

Thanks everybody, out of this and others, I got many hours of stuff for him
to watch and listen too.

I prefer to give him history and philosophy to listen too as sometime
politics upsets him a lot.

Could you provide some links to us with readily downloadable stuff?

Sounds nice to listen to when sitting in another traffic Jam ;-)
