Since I've been with Twitter, I've occasionally had messages like this,
usually from female names - and ignored them. But I've just had one in
Ancestry:
Hi,I’m <female name>
I apologize for intruding on your privacy. I was surfing through some
pages on Ancestry during my free time when I came across your profile. I
would like to express my desire to become one of your friends, if that's
okay with you
when I look at the details, I see joined "19 Sept 2023", and "is either
not a DNA match or has not taken a DNA test".
The profile has a picture, and it _isn't_ a blonde teen, like most of
the Twitter messagers.
To cap it all: "The user is not accepting messages", so I couldn't
answer if I was inclined to! (Given the circumstances, I might have
been, though "to become one of your friends" rather than anything about
genealogy ...)
Anyone else had one of these messages?
