Early GOSLINGS in Barbados

records; one of them marries a DUESBERRY, who had links to
Pennsylvania; it is possible that they were originally
Quakers.
There is a gap in the records after the early 1700s and the
GOSLING name reappears in the mid 1700s, but I have been
unable to make any link between the early settlers and the
later families. I am appending a file I have put together
on early Goslings, but I do have a great deal more on
later GOSLING families in Barbados (they intermarry with my
GIBSON & YEARWOOD relations. Unfortunately I have nothing
on Delilah Jane. Please contact me directly for more on
more recent families, as it is too lengthy to post here.

COLLENS? Collynes?. He married (2) Mrs. Gosling Katherin
Hurst Bef. 1670, daughter of George Hurst and Sarah. She
was born Abt. 1650.
Notes for Philip Gosling: In 1679 owned 40 acres, 20
negroes and 1 servant in St. Peter.
Furnished 1 horse in 1679 to "ye Troupe of Horse wch
formerly Belonged to Major Jno Steart decd, ye names of gm
yt apeared compleatly Armed on Horseback att ye last genall
Muster beinge ye 6th Instant, with ye names of gm yt did
not apeare".
N.B. One John Gosling is identified as a Quaker in "A list
of Souldiers Names under the Comand of Lt. Coll. Samuell
Tidcom 9ber 11th 1679".
A Jno Gosling is shown as having 1 negro in St. Peter,
1679. (Omitted chapters from Hotten, Brandow).
