Hello
I have been researching for a number of years for my LeBlanc family line and have got as far as (name has changed slightly in some documents LaBlanc, LeBlond)
Peter LeBlanc born in around 1781 in Guadeloupe.
I know Peter come to the UK and married in 1812 in Greenwich England to a Hannah Searles.
had a number of children before dying in 1851 age 70.
if anyone has any info or ideas for other lines of research, i would be very grateful.
Regards
Corinne

Well i just happen to come across some Leblanc in Guadeloupe. You might be
interested. The full name is Hervé Jean-Baptiste LE BLANC (46 years old at
Clotilde's birth in 1884 and an agricultor) living in La Regrettée, Trois
Rivières in 1884 and subsequently in Bourg, Gourbeyre, Guadeloupe by 1905.
He's married to Marie Rosalie Rabès (40 years old in 1884) and they have 3
kids as far as I could see up to now :
- Clotilde Jeanne born june 3rd 1884 in Trois Rivières, Guadeloupe but
living in Gourbeyre in 1905. On her birth certificate 89 June 12th 1884 the
date of her death is stated : June 11th 1949 in Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe
- William Antony Le Blanc born around 1878.
- Etienne Le Blanc born around 1881
Clotilde Jeanne LE BLANC gets married on August 12th 1905 in Gourbeyre to
Jéroche Vital Gaston SAINT-FELIX born July 2nd 1884 (birth certificate 19
dated July 8th 1884) , a shoemaker, born to SAINT-FELIX Monvalser ? aka
Montbrun, an overseer at the local Penitentiary in les Saintes, Terre de
Haut (at Ilot à Cabri island) (46 years old in 1884). and Marie Magdeleine
MONTOUT (35 years old in 1884). Clotilde Jeanne and her husband have a son
called Yves Marie Marc SAINT FELIX born in Gourbeyre on April 25th 1905
(birth certificate 46, on May 2nd 1905). Yves is said on his birth
certificate to have died in Basse-Terre on October 15th 1966. Also on his
birth certificate the name of his father is Eusèbe Gaston SAINT-FELIX. You
might also be interested to know that JVG SAINT-FELIX got married in Paris
7 on July 3rd 1954. I can check for further connections with that Leblanc
line in Guadeloupe if you will

The Etienne Le Blanc i gave you in my last post is in fact François Etienne
LE BLANC born in Trois Rivières august 6th 1880 (birth certificate 90,
august 14th 1880). He 's got married to Rosita Eugénie SAINT-FELIX from
Terre de haut, Les Saintes. At that time his father is a carpenter in
Basse-Terre but lives in Trois Rivières. It is interesting to note that on
François Etienne's birth certificate the name of Gabriel Augustin Rabès is
also stated as a witness. I have seen also that apparently William Antony
was born in Dominique (Roseau) around 1878. there is also another sister
Delphine Leblanc born in Dominique (Grand Case). She's got married to Jean
Arcade Isidore RUPAIRE in Guadeloupe.
William Antony Leblanc married to Marie Marthe Victoire RUPAIRE and had at
least one son Maxime Eugène Edmé LEBLANC. As you can see those LE BLANC
(LEBLANC) must have quite a large descent in Guadeloupe between
Trois-Rivières, Basse-Terre, Gourbeyre and Terre de Haut (LES SAINTES) and
that the names to be researched to get more information are SAINT FELIX,
RUPAIRE and LEBLANC. Have a nice Sunday !

Delphine LE BLANC born ca 1873 in Grand Case (Dominica) . Aged 27 at her
wedding that takes place in trois rivières Guadeloupe Feb 20 1900 with Jean
Arcade Isidore RUPAIRE. Jean Arcade Isidore RUPAIRE is a shoemaker. He's 20
on his wedding date, son of Victor Florville RUPAIRE and Marie Emilie
Adèle MOËSSE. It might be worth noting that Victor Florville and his wife
are father and mother to both Jean Arcade and Marie Marthe Victoire. Which
means that two LEBLANC have married two RUPAIRE ....I'm still looking for
William Antony marriage to Rosita Eugénie SAINT-FELIX. As soon as i get
something I 'll let you know !

HI Corine - are you Corine Slater who I have corresponded with before or are you a new Corine. Just wanted to check because I did not want to communicate the story all over again. Just a quickie to say that I have Peter marrying Hannah Elizabeth Searle on the 12th May 1816 NOT 1812 (where did you get that information from). I do have a copy of the marriage certificate that you are welcome to have a copy of if you would like. Peter was my 3rd Great Grandfather.
