Hi, folks,
My "cousin" Ricki in St. Croix sent me this tidbit some years ago.
These are original documents in the Lancashire Archivves, DDX 70/acc
881/box29, Miscellaneous solicitors' records:

Tortola, West Indies bundle: Mortgage by demise of two plantations VS
in Tortola to secure the payment of £10000 sterling, 2 Feb 1798,
between Andrew Anderson Esq and the Honourable Richards Heatherington
Esq; mortgage on plantation in Tortola between James Anderson to John
Higgin and William Coles, dated 23 Nov 1818; Assignment of mortgage
debt on estate in Tortola, dated 16 Oct 1833, between John Higgin and
William Coles to George Burrow and James Barton Notage; Power of
attorney to mortgage estates in the Island of Santa Croix, dated 8 Jun
1841, between Messrs Burrow and Nottage to William Henry Woods; 6
letters to Messrs Burrow and Nottage detailing specific properties
rented on Tortola and business issues, these appear to be written by
their men of business on the Island and two bills of exchange (the
first is to John Dunlop in Copenhagen, dated 13 May 1824, whilst the
second is to Messrs Burrow and Nottage in Lancaster, dated 7 July
1831) with an additional statement of their properties costs; Lease of
a plantation on estate in the Island of Tortola, dated 10 Oct 1840,
between Burrow and Others and Irving and Others; plan of property at
St Leonardgate/Old Sugarhouse Yard, Lancaster, 1794; Release by way of
mortgage of sundry plantations in Tortola and Spanish Town, dated 14
Feb 1827, between Ann Smith and Messrs Burrow and Nottage; Deed on the
dissolution of the partnership of Messrs Burrow, Higgin and Farrers,
dated 19 Aug 1841;
