To all of you on the list:

I'm pleased we found the problem and in the process were delivered a
detailed reminder of why effective security starts with each of us. I haved
tried many and stayed with AVG Free. I run Adware and Spybot for spyware
(one must be manual to avoid conflicts) There is always something getting
caught by one of them. anyway I will be looking into changing the portal
with Soc Gen West Indies. Sad in some ways as that group was my entry to
online carib studies.
If anyone has further suggestions for members relating to the subject, keep
it and short and let's get back to Gen business Ok?

Hi Chris........

I still keep my hand in on the anti-virus and anti-malware groups so will
suggest a free program that is invaluable. MBAM (MalwareBytesAnti-Malware).
I run it every couple of days.

I no long use AdAware or Spybot (they both got bloated) but still keep
Spywareblaster on here. It just sits on the desktop and is supposed to stop
spyware from landing on your computer. It doesn't run as well without
Spybot S & D on here, but that one was taking way too long to scan.

AVG is not getting such good reviews any more. I have used another freebie
called Avast! for a couple of years now. I will provide the links for all
of the above. I am quite happy with Avast, but have to admit the interface
can be a bit confusing when I go to run a manual scan (don't worry, it
auto-updates).

Hope this helps, but I highly urge all of you to download MBAM, update it
and run it. Only takes about 4 minutes on this machine and I find it to be
one of the very best. But no one antivirus or antimalware program gets ALL
of the spyware, etc.
