Hello,
I'm doing an online search for my Dutch ancestors. They lived on the island of St. Martin, were English-speaking and, I am ashamed to say, owned a plantation and were therefore slave owners. For a long time I have wanted to know more about them, what - if any - legacy they left on the island, and if there are any descendants today. Their name was Stoffel. Does anyone have any information about this family? Thank you.
