Apologies in advance if this is pretty vague, but I only want to find my
grandmother if her current family is aware of us and she indeed wants to be
found...

Does anyone know of a lady who gave birth around the age of 16 in 1944 to a
beautiful, healthy bouncing baby boy in the Glenameade, co Limerick, Ireland
area? A young,
unwed lady who, for reasons out of her control, had to give her little boy
up to another family to look after. Her little boy then disappeared off the
scene as he was taken away to the UK to live and she never seen him again.
Her little boy was 60 in April of this year and is the father of three
healthy children of his own, myself being one of them. In turn they have
five great granddaughters who would also love to find this person.

I have few details and currently we are in touch with relatives of the
people who brought up my father as their own, but as time has now moved on
and older relatives are passing we are coming to a halt with our findings.
I know this is pretty vague, and I also know that there was a lot of single
young mothers who had to give their babies up for adoption in the most
cruellest of manners, but we live in hope for some help or advice which way
to now turn.

This lady would now be around 76, with a son of 60 who she hasn't seen for
over 58 years maybe, who lived in the Glenameade area and was working for a
well to do family around the time of my father's conception and whose son
was taken away from the area and moved to England to live with a friend of
the family.

Hope some good comes of this, and I look forward to any help or advice
whatsoever.

K
