I am researching the family of George Adam Harshaw/Hershaw of Augusta
Co. VA. He married Elizabeth Moore 25 Mar 1823 and they had these
children:
1. Mary J. m. Daniel Ross 1853
2. Isabella m. William Miller 1854
3. Lucinda Margaret m. James Nutty, 1856
4. Jonathan m. Sarah Nutty, 1858
5. Elizabeth, b. 1840
6. Delila, b. 1842
7. Robert, b. 1844, d. before 1860
8. James Franklin, b. 1845
9. William, b. 1849
Co. VA. He married Elizabeth Moore 25 Mar 1823 and they had these
children:

David and Samuel may have been older sons as well. They were members of
the St. John's Reformed Church of Augusta Co. It has been suggested that
the name may have originally been Hoshour. There are no members of this
family on the 1870 census in Augusta Co.
