Test 1a: Starting to Bring Surnames Back

Hi all!

This is Test 1a.

We're starting to bring the soc.genealogy.surnames.* newsgroups back
on line.

Please be patient while we do this -- there's some software to be
written, and quite a bit of coordination that needs to be done between
Linkpendium, RootsWeb, and the s.g.surnames moderation team.

Unfortunately but unavoidably, there will be more test messages as
we get things set up. Sorry about that noise, B.
