My Great Grandfather, Thomas Henry Gould, first appears in the local trade
directory in 1908, as Gould Thomas H. Wine Merchant, The High Street,
Newmarket, Suffolk, UK.
In Sept 1920 William Thomas Gould appears as a witness for my Grandmother's
wedding (Dorothy Charlotte Pitcher Gould, b.1899, d.1990) to Mr John Leslie
Palmer of Stourbridge.
William Gould appears in the baptism records at the birth of his son Peter
in Feb 1926. Thomas William is also recorded as a Wine Merchant of Rutland
Hill House, Newmarket, Suffolk.
William Thomas Gould appears in Aug 1931 at the baptism of his son William
Thomas, as Wine Merchant of Rous Road, Newmarket. The shop was (is) on the
corner of High Street and Rous Road in Newmarket.
I can't find any burial records for the Gould's. I have no clues, as yet,
where they came from or where they went.
