A search for William Pessarra in Texas in 1930 US Census was made. We are
unable to read the place of birth of the father of William, as well as the
place of birth of the mother of William. Looks like the country is Poland
for the father, and Germany for the mother. This matches what records we do
have about both of them. Thanks for any help in advance.

Joe -

I tried to find this entry on ancestry.com's census records, but
couldn't find the record you are talking about.

How exactly is William's name spelled?
In which city and county did you find this entry?

I found a William Pessarro in Freeport, Brazonia, Texas. Is this the
person you are researching?

It looks as if his father was born in Poland and his mother in
Germany.
His wife's mother was born in Germany.

Yes, that is my father, William Pessarra. I can read the countries okay,
but, it is the town of birth that I cannot discern for either grandparent.

In the meantime, since I posted, I thought something sounded familiar. Went
through my old files, and found a Memorial card sent from Germany in 1915.
This was on the death of Herr Ferdinand Conrady. This was Wilhelmina's
father. Mourning relatives are shown to be in Saarbrucken, Rudesheim,
Gerol-stein, MOSELKERN, Texas (North America).
Looks like Wilhelmina (my grandmother) was born in Moselkern.

Still working on the Pessarra birth location in Poland. We had always
understood that he came from Loetzen, East Prussia; now Gizycko, Poland.

But we have one right. Thanks again.

Joe
