Hello,

Over the past few weeks I have been looking at the pedigree the Boynton family of Acklam in the north part of Yorkshire. Almost every pedigree of the family in print or online contains errors, particularly with regard to the identification of wives.

Using, for the most part, contemporary sources I have managed to identify, with one exception, all of the wives of the male Boynton family members from Ingram de Boynton who died about 1255 down to Henry Boynton who died in 1488. Some of these identifications are well known but many of them are new.

The results of my labours can be found here:

Any comments, corrections or additions would be gratefully received.

Regards,

John

Where does Sir Christopher Boynton of Sadbury who married Jane Strangeways fit into your research?
