In the SC-Roots web page I found the following partial extract from

Can anyone comment on the accuracy or reliability of this work, or on any of
the ancestors shown?

First of all there were no family names in the 11/12th Century.
The ROUCY family, well known to genealogists as being one of those from whom
we all descend from were never known as DUBOIS or variants, nor it seems
were they ever sgrs of Bois. I would take the pedigree with a double pinch of
salt until one of the members can be substantiated by other than the pedigree.

Louis and Anne are shown as the parents of Isaac DuBose or Du Bosc who settled on the Santee River in SC around 1685. There is a list of the French who petitioned for naturalization. Isaac owned a town lot in Jamestown, SC a now extinct town. Isaac was from Dieppe. There was also a Jacques Du Bosc, son of Andre, who was from Amboise. If you have ancestors around Charleston abt 1700 you should go to Rootsweb and search for the 1695 list of French & Swiss Protestants.
