Also known as Elizabeth Karageorgevic, dau of Prince Paul of Yugoslavia and
Princess Olga of Greece - she seems to somehow be a cousin of Prince
Charles (of UK). How?

Princess Elizabeth (b. 1936) is the daughter of the late Prince Paul, regent of
Yugoslavia during the minority of King Peter II, by the late Princess Olga of
Greece, a first cousin of Prince Philip, duke of Edinburgh. (Olga was a
sister of the late Princess Marina, duchess of Kent, wife of the youngest
son of George V.)

Prince Philip, duke of Edinburgh, is the son of Prince Andrea of Greece. Olga
was the daughter of Prince Nicholas of Greece. Andrea and Nicholas were
brothers, younger sons of King George I of Greece, formerly Prince William of
Denmark (a brother of Queen Alexandra of England, wife of Edward VII).

Prince Paul (1893-1976), regent of Yugoslavia, was the son of Prince Arsen
Karadjordjevic (1859-1938), younger brother of King Peter I of Serbia.
Arsen married (1892, divorced 1896) Aurora Pavlovna Demidova (1873-1904),
daughter of Paul Demidov, Principe di San Donato (a papal title, I believe)
by Elena Petrovna, princess Trubetskoya. The royal status of their descendants
is today the subject of some dispute among Yugoslav royalists. Because of
Paul's relations with the Nazis, his royal status was revoked in 1941 and
never restored. Nonetheless he continued to use his royal title and, largely
out of consideration for his wife and (then) young children, most other
European royal houses looked the other way. I have within the past two years,
however, seen letters from Yugoslav royalists to the editors of at least two
current publications, rather forcefully objecting to those publications'
continued use of "Princess" Elizabeth's title.
