In answer to the question of Jean-Francois Languy regarding the
Leuven-Gaesbeeks:

An extended account of the Van Abcoude (alias Van Abcoude van Gaesbeek,
alias Van Gaesbeek) family can be found in H. Obreen: La maison de Zuylen
dans l'histoire des Pays Pas, including the "seize quartiers" of Sweder III
of Abcoude, Lord of Gaesbeek, Putten, Strijen, etc., and his brother
William of Abcoude, Lord of Abcoude and Wijk. Those quarters are:

Generation I
1.Sweder III of Abcoude, Lord of Gaesbeek, etc., knight, +1400.

Floris V to England (1278 & 1281); x:

Perhaps a more readily available source of information regarding the Leuven
descent in these quarters would be the 1968 edition of "Gens Nostra", with
a special on Carolingian descents, which deals with the Van
Leuven-Gaesbeeks in detail. Leo Lindeman's "Voorouders in de Middeleeuwen /
Ancetres au Moyen-Age" should also be readily available in Belgian
libraries.

The descent of the Van Leuvens, Hornes and Abcoudes through the Van
Beverens is particularly interesting, since the great-grandparents of
Isabelle of Beveren in female line were Henri, Count of Champagne and King
of Jerusalem (ca.ux.), and Isabelle, heiress of Jerusalem.
