I would like to know the link between the D'AQUINO family and the
HOHENSTAUFEN. A member of this family married a daughter of Frederic
Hohensatufen , but what is the link with S.Tommaso d'Aquino?
Secondly , I search also for links between AQUINO and RUFFO families.
Could somebody help ? many thanks !

Yes , thank you very much for this data.
Does it mean that the AQUINO has no more male descendants at this time
? and that the daughter inherit the title of Acerra ? if not has the
family further descendants?
Thanks in advance

Tommaso II d'Aquino (d.15 Mar 1273) m. Margherita (d.1297/98) [ES I/1:16].
This pair had another dau., Isabella who married (as his first wife)
Guglielmo II Stendarto who was pro-senator in Rome in 1281. Guglielmo's
second wife was Petronille de Mesnil-Renard. Isabella Stendarto dau. by
Isabella m. Roberto d'Alneto lord of Marigliano and Lauro. A dau. Eustache
by Petronille m. Raymond de Baux lord of Puyricard.[ES III/4:478; *The
Genealogist (New Series)* 12:224]
Roberto d'Alneto and Isabella have many descendants.

There are also many descendants from Teodora (d.before 1316) sister of S
Tommaso d'Aquino by her marriage to Ruggero (II) di Sanseverino count of
Marsico (d. after 24 Sep 1284).

There was no title or honours to inherit. From what I can recall these were
lost in the time of the Hohenstaufen (he backed the wrong faction) and there
was little chance of recovery after the Angevin take-over in 1266 and
absolutely none after the battle of Tagliacozzo (23 Aug 1268) when Tommaso
was along captured with his wife's half-nephew Corradino king of Sicily.

I am re-sending this post because I made a mistake in para.2 below (*).
Guglielmo I Stendarto (d.1271) (father of Guglielmo II) married twice. First
about 1235 to Mabile de Montmorency dau. of Bouchard de M lord of Marly by
Mahaut de Poissy. She was the mother of Guglielmo II. The second marriage
was to Petronille de Mesnil-Renard. Eustache was a dau. of this marriage.
Guglielmo II also married twice and Isabella was as stated below his first
wife. [ES XIV:120; ES III/4:478; Runciman *The Sicilian Vespers* pp.100,
124; Turton *Plantagenet Ancestry* 215, 225; *The Genealogist (New Series)*
12:224]

Tommaso II d'Aquino (d.15 Mar 1273) m. Margherita (d.1297/98) [ES I/1:16].

Guglielmo II(*) Stendarto who was pro-senator in Rome in 1281. Guglielmo's
