Here's a some of the ancestry (the first 12 generations) of Agnes
Alvsdatter Bolt, b. 1398, d. 1472. She's mentioned in Gerald Paget's
"Lineage and Ancestry of the Prince of Wales" [Edinburgh: Skilton, 1973] on
page 294 as Prince Charles ancestor number Q1442. None of her ancestors are
mentioned in this book.
One can draw lines back to the old Norwegian, Danish and Swedish Viking
Kings, aswell as several lines to Charlemagne

Good Stuff. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I don't have access to Paget, as I suspect many others do
not.

Could you please show the linkage to Prince Charles from Agnes BOLT, or
at least to some well-known figure, whom we can link to Prince Charles
on our own?

Every reference I have seen list Ivar, son of Jon at Sudreim (ment.
1240), as the father of Jon Ivarsson "Raud". Do you have any sources
to this? I also wonder where the lineage from Sudreim back to Håkon
Ivarson Jarl is from. As far as I know there are no known ancestors of

Jon at Sudreim.

islands).

I have recorded the mother of Pål Skoftesson as Gudrun Tordsdotter,
daughter of Tord Foleson. What references do you have?

The identity of the mother of Marnus Berrføtt is disputed. It is
though pretty sure that she wasn't Ingrid of Denmark but a mistress,
probably named Tora. Snorri, Hrokkinskinna and Ryggjarstykket names
her Tora Jonsdotter. Morkinskinna og Fagerskinna names her Tora
Arnesdotter. Most likely is a daughter of Ragnvald Jarl, mistress of
Olav Kyrre and later married with Ljot Jarl at Godøy. Ragnvald Jarl is
assumed to be identic with Ragnvald Brusesson Orkenøyjarl, son of
Bruse, Jarl of the Orkneys and hence great-grandson of Malcom II
MacKenneth of Scotland.

What references do you have to the relation between Vilhjalm and his
aunt, and to the marriange/offspring of Vilhjalm and Jartrud?

I haven't seen the mother of Skofte mentioned, what are your
references to this?

There is a Shetland family of Bolt which were very powerful in the
Medieval period and supposedly from the Norwegian family.

Are there any mentions of Shetland connections in the Norwegian records?
