The Complete Peerage XI:94, footnote i shows the children of Sir William
de Ros and wife Lucy (FitzPiers) includes "Alice who m. Sir John Comyn,
lord of Badenoch." Is this the same as John Comyn "The Red Comyn #1" d.
aft 1273, who married Amabilia (or Alicia)? Source for latter is AR7,
108:Line 121A-28.

Thanks for help.

In a recent work by Alan Young, *Robert the Bruce's Rivals: The Comyns,
1212-1314* (East Linten, 1997), the author indicates (p.72) that John I
Comym (d.c.1277) married twice and that his second wife was probably Alicia
de Lindsay of Lamberton. The first wife was Eve (p.X). *The Scots Peerage*
(sub 'Lindsay, Earl of Crawford', p.5) says that Alicia was the dau. of
Walter de Lindsay of Lamberton (d.2 Nov 1271) by Christian (who married
secondly Walter de Percy of Kildale). Young's genealogical chart on p.X does
not make it clear which of John's many children belong to which wife (The SP
may make it clear, but it may just be unsortable due to lack of evidence).
