1211-1214. His name appears as one of the Justiciars, 1200 & 1207.
Received by grant from King John the manor of Coreby, Northants., 1206.
Dugdale records that he was master of King John's wardrobe & a member of
the King's council. Died 1214. He had issue: Foss, pp 118-9 Clutterbuck,

Sir HENRY de BRAYBROOKE, Kt., of Braybrooke, Northants., In 1214 he joined
the Barons in opposition to King John, & took such part in such rebellion
that his lands were seized. However after Louis of France retired he
returned his allegiance to the Crown and in 1217 his lands were restored to
him. Appointed one of the Justices itinerant for Bucks. & Beds., 1224. In
his judicial capacity he levied a fine on Faukes de Breaute, who
consequently rebelled together with the garrison of Bedford Castle & took
him prisoner. He was only released after Bedford Castle was besieged by
King Henry III. M Christina (she M 2nd Gerard de Furnival, d 1241/2, & M
3rd Thomas de Grelley. She Died 1271), d. of Wischard Ledet, d 1221, & his

acting as Marshall of the Household of his uncle, Robert Braybrooke, Bishop
of London. Appointed Keeper of Salcey Forest, Northants., 13 Oct. 1389.
Knighted between Oct. 1389 & Aug. 1390. Commissioner for Array, Kent, Jan.
1400, July 1402 & Aug. 1403. Justice of the Peace for Kent from 16 May
1401. Member of Parliament for Kent, 1404. Served at sea against the
French, 1404. He sailed with Thomas of Lancaster to Flanders, May 1405,
where during an unsuccessful attack on the citadel of Sluys he received a
fatal wound. He was carried to Middleburg where he lingered for four
months & where he died. M 1391 Joan, 4th Baroness Cobham (Died 13 Jan.
1434), d. & heir of Sir John de la Pole, Kt., of Chrishall, Essex & Castle
