Dear Newsgroup ~

The following new "gateway" royal line for the New World immigrant,
Percival Lowell, was featured in the recent October 2003 issue of the
New England Historical & Genealogical Register (NEHGR) [vol. 157,
pages 309–319]. The line below sets forth one of Percival Lowell's
two descents from King Edward I of England. For further details of
Percival Lowell's extensive ancestry, see my forthcoming book,
Plantagenet Ancestry. Please contact me at the e-mail address below
regarding details for ordering a copy of the book.

Best always, Douglas Richardson, Salt Lake City, Utah

These new Lowell lines from Edw I delight me. (My son-in-law has the line,
not me.) I had a scribble that Walter Goodwin Davis researched the
Perceval line and they were not from nobility. Is the Henri I, king of
France, line OK, then? I didn't record my source. (Blush.)

Doug, as you know, I have a reinforced shelf just waiting for PA3. I knew
I'd need it when I saw your 2-notebook draft in May 2003. Care to give the
list a progress report on your new book?

Cheers, Dolly in Maryland USA

I saw the article, Douglas, very nice. I assume the famous 19th century
planetary astronomer Percival Lowell is related, but you didn't mention
it in your article. Lowell observatory in Arizona was founded by him.
