Dear Newsgroup ~

Recently while doing research for my forthcoming new book, Royal
Ancestry, I came across references in published secondary sources to
an alleged descent from the baronial Darcy family for Marine (or Mary)
Belllers (died 1489), wife of Thomas Greene, Knt., and Nicholas
Griffin, Esq., and her sister, Joan Bellers, wife of William Villiers
(or Villers), Esq. I subsequently investigated the claimed descent
and found it to be valid.

Below is an extended line of descent for the Bellers sisters going
back to Eustache I, Count of Boulogne, who died about 1049. His wife,
Matilda (or Mahaut) of Louvain, is a proven descendant of
Charlemagne. Documentation for the descent below will be found in my
forthcoming book.

Best always, Douglas Richardson, Salt Lake City, Utah
