I am looking for information about the family Schulte/Schulter who
lived in Stendal, Germany in the 1400s and 1500s. Some family members had close
connections to Stockholm, Sweden where they were burgess.

Pawel Schulter is mentioned in Swedish sources from 1514 to the 1530s.
He later moves [back?] to Stendal and is mentioned as a burgess there
in 1545 [along with his son Heinrich].

He had two known uncles [on his mothers side]:
- Heine (Hegne/Heygne) Schulter is mentioned in Swedish sources from
1503. He makes a testament to his friends and family in Stendal and
dies in Stockholm around 1525.
- Anders (Andreas) Schulter is mentioned in Swedish sources from 1487.
In 1509 he lives together with his nephew Pawel [see above] in a house
in Stockholm. He dies in Stockholm around 1522. From his patronymic
Anders ERIKSSON Schulter and the fact that Heine had his family in
Stendal we know that his their father probably was a person by the
name of:

- Erich Schulter who lived in Stendal in the 1400s.

Any information about the above mentioned persons, general information
about the family Schulter or Stendal or hints on where I can continue
my research is of interest!

Sincerely,
Martin Casterud

Pawel is the Polish form of Paul, so I wonder if there's a Polish connection.
