The daughter of Thomas Grey who married Sir John Arundell of Lanherne as his
first wife was Eleanor, not Elizabeth (she married a Fitzgerald Earl of
Kildare). Some sources have confused this by leaving out Eleanor altogether
and attributing two marriages to Elizabeth, but the chronology doesn't work.
I'm told that a contemporary memorial brass in the Arundell chapel at St
Columb confirms the wife's name as Eleanor, but I haven't seen this.

At any rate the lady in question was probably born around 1480 and died
(perhaps in childbirth) before 1507. Her own eldest daughter was named
Elizabeth, and she had at least one other daughter and two sons: Sir John
Arundell, born ca 1500, died 7 Nov 1557, whose children were all from his
second marriage to Elizabeth Danet, and Sir Thomas who was executed on 26
Feb 1553 having married Margaret Howard (not his capital offence...) as
indicated in the posting from CE Wood.
