After a little digging, I have found a few more tidbits on Brian's
family. Sources are abbreviated as follows:

AI = Annals of Inisfallen, ed. Mac Airt (Dublin 1951)

AFM = Annals of the Four Masters, ed. O'Donovan (Dublin, 1851)

AT = Annals of Tigernach (www version)

AU = Annals of Ulster (www version)

CGG = Cogadh Gaedhel re Gallaibh, ed. Todd (London, Rolls Series 48,
1867)

1. His wife Dub Choblaig, daughter of the king of Connacht, died in
1009 [AU, AI]. To my knowledge, no sources have attributed any of
Brian's children to her.

2. He had a daughter Be Bind (obviously named after Brian's mother),
who died in 1073 [AU].

3. AFM (not the best set of annals) give Brian a daughter named Dub
Essa who died in 1052. I did not find her in AU, AT, or AI (all
better authorities than AFM).

4. Todd's introduction to CGG gives the statement that Cian of Desmond
married Sadb, daughter of Brian. However, that statement does not
appear in the text of CGG, and since Todd gave no source for the
statement, the claim still awaits supporting evidence.

5. I checked AFM to see if there was any mention of a marriage between
Donnchad mac Briain and a daughter of Godwine, but did not find such a
statement. However, O'Donovan includes many miscellaneous statements
in his notes (not indexed), not always where you might expect to find
them (and quite frequently in error). It is possible that somebody
dredged some sort of statement to that effect from these notes, and if
so, they would be very difficult to find without a page number. Since
O'Donovan frequently cites no evidence for his claims, it might not
help even if it is there.
