I have seen references to the Phillip that was born 1424 and married Mary
Clifford. However, I have a Phillip that was born, I think , about 1390, and
had a daughter Agnes, that married Robert Constable. From the 1530 Visitation
of the North, it states that the Wentworths were from Suffolk? Where does my
Phillip tie into the rest, and can anyone give me at least a few generations
for him? I shoul be able to find the rest on the web. I have the volume of
C.P.that has the Wentwoths, but it only really goes back to Thomas, that was
born 1501. It does mention a Phillip Wentworth that died d.v.m May 18 1464,
after being beheaded after the battle of Hexham. Is theis my guy? I take it
the D.v.m means no male issue? It states that he was the son of a Roger that
died Oct 21/25, 1452, and Margery Despencer. This Wentworth line is the one in
Nettlestead, Suffolk.. It also mentions that the above Roger was a son of John
(living 1413) , of North Elmsall, who was grandson of John (living 1314), who
was a younger son of William Wentworth of Wentworth Woodhouse, Yorkshire, from
whom 8 distinct lines descend.

co. Suffolk and North Elmshall, Yorkshire who died 21 Oct 1452, leaving a will
dated 5 June 1452. He was married before 25 June 1423 to Margery le Despencer,
