Hi:
In searching the gen medieval archives, I came upon previous postings regarding an Alice/Dulcia Savage married to Sir Henry Bold. The debate seemed to center around which John Savage might have been her fathe. Some apparently felt her parents might have been John Savage and Katherine Stanley. I am researching Jane Allen Bulkeley and specifically her ancestor Giles Leigh. On the Stirnet site, he is listed married to a Catherine Bold, daughter of Henry Bold. Publications of the Harleian Society, Volume 13, show Giles Leigh married to Catherine, daughter of Bold of Lancashire. The Visitation of Essex By Hawley, 1552 also shows Giles Leigh married to Catherine, daughter of Bold of Lancashire.
I am wondering if there have been any further developments have been made in identifying the father of Alice/Dulcia Savage and if there might be some connection to Catherine Bold married to Giles Leigh. I have not been able to locate anything further and would appreciate any feedback on this.
Thanks,
Beth Mansifeld

This is the Publications v13 to which you refer. It's the Allen pedigree
from the 1634
The arms were granted to Giles son of Christopher Aleyn and Agnes his wife
(that is, wife of Christopher) in 1589
Could you cite exactly where in the 1552 you have this family showing?

that it does include the 1634, so that's what you are looking at in this particular pedigree.
It's not two sources, it just one source, the 1634 Vis.
