You may recall that I recently posted a query concerning the above family -
which of interest to those contributors to this list from America was
ancestral to George Washington

WILLIAM WILMER, of Ryton & Withybrooke, Warw., "Yeoman". He had issue:

2.Thomas, of Coventry, Warw., Appointed overseer of the will of his brother

RICHARD WILMER, of Ryton, Warw., Born c. 1480. M c. 1500 Joan (Mentioned
in her father's will as "Joan Willmer wife of Richard Willmer of Ryton", 20
Aug. 1521. Mentioned in her husband's will, 22 June 1527), d. of John
Goodyere, of Baginton, Warw., & his wife Alice (See GOODYERE). He was
appointed Exec. of the will of his father-in-law, John Goodyere, 20 Aug.
1521. Will dated 22 June 1527. Died 1527. Will Proved at P.C.C., 1527.
He had issue:

WILLIAM WILMER, of Ryton, Warw., Born c. 1500. M c. 1525 Julian (Mentioned
in her husband's will, 23 Oct. 1551. Died c. 1558), d. of William Spencer,
of Badby & Little Everdon, Northants., & his wife Agnes Heritage (SPENCER).
Mentioned in his father's will, 22 June 1527. In his will he is recorded as
owing a farm at Baginton, Warw. & 2 houses & other lands at Ryton. Will
dated 23 Oct. 1551. "Gentleman". Died 1551. Will Proved at P.C.C., 1552.
He had issue:

1.Thomas, of Ryton, Warw., Appointed executor & called "my son & heir" in
his father's will, 23 Oct. 1551. M Elizabeth Crudge. Died 1580/1. He had

Newnham, Northants. (d 1556). M 2nd Richard Chaplin. She had issue by her
1st husband:

27 Aug. 1604), d. of Henry Dacres, of Chilvers. Receiver of Daventry. Died
