Richard was son of Sprota (not of St. Liz).
> Who was Richard I wife - Emma, dau. of Hugh de France and/or Gunnora de Crepon - and if both, who mothered which children?
Richard married Emma, then following her death, he married his mistress
Gunnora (not of Crepon). Surviving records show no children of Emma
(although the family of Gunnora was so prominant that has recently been
suggested that some of the daughters, actually born to Emma, were
transfered to Gunnora after the fact). Richard had several children by
Gunnora, and other by unknown mistresses.

Evidence has now been found that Emma did bear at least one daughter, who
attested a charter with Emma after Richard's death. See Eleanor Searle's
*Predatory Kinship*, a book about the formation of the duchy of Normandy.
Sorry I don't have the full title at hand, but this much, and the author's
name, should be enough to let anybody find it in an electronic catalog.
Searle indicates no marriage for the daughter.
