Complete Peerage 6 (1926): 199 (sub Greystoke) states that Sir Robert
Greystoke (died 1483) married (1st) Margaret Grey, daughter of Edward
Grey, Lord Ferrers of Groby, and, following her death, he married
(2nd) Elizabeth Grey, daughter of Edmund Grey, Earl of Kent.
Actually it appears that the order of the marriages is reversed. Sir
Robert Greystoke married (1st) Elizabeth Grey, by whom he had his
daughter and heiress, Elizabeth, born in 1471. Sir Robert's first
wife, Elizabeth, died in 1472. He then married (2nd) by dispensation
dated dated 19 Jan. 1474/5 (they being related in the 3rd degree of
affinity) Margaret Grey.
The dispensation for the second marriage can be found in Calendar of
Papal Registers.: Letters, vol. 13, Pt. 1 (1955): 425. The document
reads as follows:
Date: 19 Jan. 1474/5: "Mandate to the bishop of Lincoln. Mandate to
dispense Robert Greystokk, layman, and Margaret Grey, mulier, of the
said bishop's diocese, to marry, notwithstanding that they are related
in the third degree of affinity, because the late Elizabeth Grey, also
Robert's wife, was related to the said Margaret in the third degree of
kindred.".
Sir Robert Greystoke's two wives were related in the 2nd and 3rd
degrees of kindred (or 1st cousins, once removed) as follows:

For interest sake, Sir Robert Greystoke and his 1st wife, Elizabeth
Grey, are in the ancestry of two colonial American immigrants:
Philip and Thomas Nelson, of Massachusetts
