The main source used apart from CP was the *History of Parliament: The
House of Commons, 1386-1421*.
In the thread mentioned earlier someone posted a line back to Stephen
Devereux. I also looked up GENDEX and found further occurrences of this
line (i.e. from William (32) to Stephen) but no evidence for the persons
listed or the affiliations claimed. I have been unable to find the source
of this “traditional” pedigree. Once we get to Stephen the evidence abounds
(relatively speaking) for marriages and ancestors. That William (32)
descends fom Stephen and his wife Maud Giffard seems probable from the
lands involved.
Anyway, here is the ancestor list to date. If anyone has corrections and/or
addtional info on this family, it would be welcome. ['#' indicates that the
